Natural Medicines and Therapies for Body Healing

herbs.jpg Your body is truly a wonder of nature, and given the right conditions it has the amazing ability to heal. Naturopathic medicine focuses on using natural medicines and therapies to create an environment for your body to heal. The emphasis is on treating the underlying cause, not just the symptoms, with recovery being the objective.

The goal of a Naturopathic Doctor is to understand you, the patient, and all the factors that will impact on your health. Your first visit (usually one hour) includes an in-depth medical history, relevant physical exam and discussion of your health concerns.

Treating both acute and chronic conditions, naturopathic treatments are chosen based on the individual patient - their physiological, structural, psychological, social, spiritual, environment and lifestyle factors. In addition to diet and lifestyle changes, natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, may also be used during treatments.
