BScPT, CAFCI, CMTPT Bob Baumann

Bob Baumann
BScPT, CAFCI, CMTPT Physiotherapist

Bob was born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan and he graduated with honors from the University of Saskatchewan in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. With over three decades of clinical experience in private practice and in multi-disciplinary outpatient rehab settings, he enjoys working with a wide range of physical conditions and with patients of all ages.

Bob is a certified member of Acupuncture Canada (CAFCI-2005) as well as a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT-Dry Needling in 2011 with Myopain Seminars). His clinical passion is providing comprehensive patient care and facilitating excellent pain management and functional outcomes by integrating a wide range of therapeutic techniques: manual therapy and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques (certified Astym provider-2017), neuro-anatomical acupuncture, and dry needling in combination with customized movement interventions and self-care instruction.

Bob enjoys leveraging the synergistic effects of eastern and western therapies by blending traditional physical therapy treatment protocols with eastern techniques including safe, effective, and easy-to-learn Qigong exercises. He is also certified in the Buteyko Clinic Method (breathing re-education for physical health, relaxation, and stress reduction), effectively integrating breath work with other clinical interventions.

Bob and his wife Ingrid are new residents to the West Coast of BC. They are eager to explore and learn more about this beautiful part of the country and to re-connect with their two children who moved out west about a decade ago. In his spare time, Bob enjoys being outdoors in nature, hiking, walking his dog, practicing Qigong & Tai Chi, and reading.
