Lorraine Bruce

Lorraine Bruce graduated from the West Coast College of Massage therapy in Vancouver, B.C. in 1985, Vancouver's first accredited college in BC for massage therapy.

Lorraine's interest in becoming a massage therapist occurred after receiving personal treatment herself. She knew immediately she was destined to relieve pain and help others! Lorraine's specialty is deep tissue and myofascial release.

Lorraine has great compassion for people and it shows in her work. Massage therapy has given Lorraine a great deal of satisfaction in seeing her clients improve from such conditions as whiplash, work-related injuries, overuse syndromes, fibromyalgia, and a variety of other soft-tissue problems. Patients comment that Lorraine works intuitively, which she credits to her combined knowledge of on-going accreditation and her natural empathy. In short, Lorraine understands the needs of each individual.

Meghan Reid RMTMeghan Reid

Meghan, originally from Osoyoos BC, is a 2012 graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax NS. She first began practicing as an RMT in Alberta but recently moved to Vancouver Island and joined the team at Woodgrove Pines Clinic.

Massage Therapy is a true passion for Meghan. She enjoys continuously learning about the body, its mechanics, and what makes us work! Meghan’s goal, with each patient, is to provide the most effective treatment to not only alleviate the cause of their symptoms, but to provide them with the education they need to help maintain their treatment gains and improve their overall quality of life.

In addition to practicing as a RMT, she also enjoys fitness training, outdoor activities, baking, and plays a variety of sports including baseball, volleyball, and golf. Meghan also recently received an Honorable Mention from the Massage Therapy Foundation for her work in an International Research Case Report contest.

Maria is a 2013 graduate of the 3000 hour program of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. During her time at WCCMT she was fortunate enough to treat a wide variety of pathologies.

Maria is committed to working closely with each client to assist them in achieving their specific therapeutic goals. To meet each client’s needs, she draws from a variety of effective techniques including deep tissue, trigger point release, Swedish modalities, relaxation and stress reduction, and myofascial release.

Maria is excited to work alongside a diverse group of professionals, and is eager to use her knowledge of the human body to help restore and maintain optimal health and pain free function for her patients.


Mike Joyce

Registered Massage Therapist

Mike Joyce is a graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy (August 2014) in Victoria BC. Following graduation Mike moved to Parksville, BC at the beginning of 2015 after living in Victoria for the previous twelve years.

Mike started giving massages when he was a teenager to friends and family, and really enjoyed being able to help relax and heal others. He's been in love with the profession ever since and nothing makes him happier than to help out others.

Mike likes to use deep tissue techniques, myofascial work, general swedish massage(GSM), triggerpoint therapy and cranial/sacral work to help with sports injuries, strains, sprains, fibromyalgia, disc bulges, sciatica, or any other health problems. Mike can also help if you simply wish to receive a relaxation treatment.

Currently, Mike is looking into getting more training in the next year or so for increased muscle energy technique(MET) methods.

Tom Kersell RMT
Tom Kerswell

Tom graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2016. He has been an avid rugby player for 12 years playing at top club level in BC. His experience in athletics went a long way in his understanding of the body, movement, and injury. He understands how posture and bio-mechanics can affect aches & pains, and their relation to pathology.

Tom incorporates Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, passive and active stretching to provide a balanced and effective treatment for his patients. Every treatment is catered to the patient’s pain and postural alignments.

Tom regularly gives home care stretches and strengthening exercises at the end of every treatment for each patient to encourage proper postural position and to change the ergonomics in lifestyle activity.

Originally from Ducan BC, Tom enjoys staying active with weight training, biking, hiking and snowboarding.


Wenda_Crawford_RMT

Wenda Crawford

RMT,  Dip-SIM,  NBS-TTC,  C.C.A.T, 
Registered Massage Therapist

Wenda has a background in performing and teaching dance.  She is a graduate of The National Ballet School’s Teacher Training program; is a certified Yoga Teacher, and is certified as a Critical Alignment Therapist. She is currently studying somatic movement exercise. 

Her interest in rehabilitation therapy started at Sheridan College where she studied Sports Injury Therapy (athletic therapy).  She graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2001. She has completed the 5th year of education in Osteopathic Manual Therapy*, which means Wenda can quite likely help with your pain!

Treatment focuses on Osteopathic-based  therapies  such as  superficial and deep tissue release and unwinding, joint decompaction and mobilization, cranial-sacral, face bone, TMJ and visceral techniques.  For example, Wenda can help if you suffer from such things as:

• pelvic imbalances   • low back &  neck pain  • breathing issues  • digestive issues  • incontinence

Her treatment approach is to help bring a balance into the individual’s activities of daily living.  Wenda also treats children and infants using osteopathic-based massage therapy.

Wenda’s commitment is to provide safe and effective treatment approaches for individual health goals. In fact, she wants you to leave a treatment feeling more balanced in your body and movement.  Your practitioner can advise if Wenda's additional, specialized training is something you may benefit from!
